Our name is no coincidence. We combine insight (Direction) with decisiveness (Action). In practice this means we translate data into concrete actions on the work floor. We always look for the limits of what is possible to help our customers move forward.

From e-commerce pioneer to WMS specialist

In 2005 André van Rijn saw how e-commerce turned traditional trade chains upside down. Importers who used to move only containers and pallets suddenly had to ship single boxes to consumers. The existing systems were not built for that. In 2007 he therefore started a company with Mark Gerrits to tackle these challenges.

André: “We were not visionaries. We simply saw what was happening in the market and picked it up. From webshops to order management, we built every solution that was needed. But with the rapid growth of e-commerce we had to make choices. We chose what we were really good at: warehouse management. Within the four walls of the warehouse, that is where our strength lies.”
